Introduction

Shengquan, known as SQ, is the earlier enterprise which focuses on R&D and production of phenolic resin for coated abrasives in China. Utilizing state-of-the-art R&D platform and absorbing foreign advanced technology, SQ devotes itself to promoting innovation and development of phenolic resin for coated abrasives.

Features

SQ phenolic resin, designed for different production processes, polishing objects and various performance requirements of various coated abrasive, has advantages as follows:：

  • High strength and high wear resistance: Comparing to other bonding agents, phenolic resin has the characteristics of higher strength, which can provide stronger bonding strength between abrasives and the substrate. While advantages of higher heat resistance and wear resistance of phenolic resin contribute to better grinding ratio of abrasives.

  • The whole series of phenolic resin have advantages including environment-friendly, low free phenol, low free formaldehyde and so on. The amount of harmful volatiles released during production can be reduced significantly, which protects health of workers on site.

  • Light-colored resins: With product performance and quality ensured, these types of resin are suitable for production of various light-colored coated abrasive products such as in blue and yellow.

  • Diversifications. Various phenolic resins of SQ with features such as high water solubility, fast curing, high flexibility and high heat resistance can be provided to meet requirements of different coated abrasives substrates, types of abrasives and production equipment.

Applications

Phenolic resins produced by Shengquan are widely used in the production of coated abrasives, such as sandpaper, abrasive cloth, industrial non-woven fabrics, sponge abrasives, vulcanized fiber paper abrasives, etc.

Technical Support

SQ Group has established a national enterprise technology center with more than 10 professional research institutes, totaling nearly 500 researchers and about RMB 300 million investment in research and development per year. SQ Group has established a number of scientific research platforms such as national postdoctoral research workstation, national certification and accreditation laboratory and Shandong Provincial Project Research Center, and has formed an international team with nearly 30 world-class experts, further injecting innovation vitality into the company.

Inspection Equipment

SQ Group is well equipped with all kinds of instrument resources, including more than 50 sets of analysis and inspection equipment, such as the scanning electron microscope (SEM), nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, XRD, X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometer (XRF), microscopic infrared spectrometer, microscopic Raman spectrometer, ion chromatograph and tandem quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, with the total value being more than RMB 30 million yuan, thus making it possible to provide reliable analysis data and accurate technical support for the industry.

System Certification

SQ Group passed ISO9001 quality management system certification in 1997, introduced TS16949 standard in 2014, and passed ISO14001 environmental management system certification in 2002. What’s more, SQ has passed GB/T28001 occupational health and safety management system certification, and the review of national “Level 2” safety standardization enterprise. SQ Group has also been granted as a benchmarking enterprise in the construction of “Work Safety Risk Hierarchical Management System and Potential Risk Identification and Management System” in Shandong Province.
